Welcome to a new and exciting school year at Sweetwater Elementary! The 2019-2020 will be my 22nd year in education! I have been the school counselor at Sweetwater Elementary in Lithia Springs since 2007. In 2017 I was named Douglas County Elementary School Counselor of the Year. I have enjoyed getting to know the Douglas County community. The students and staff members at Sweetwater have made me feel at home since day one. As a counselor I try my best to assist the students, parents, community, and staff members in any way that I can. Events that I organize such as Career Academy, Truck Day, Red Ribbon Week, Donuts for Dads, Muffins for Moms, and Anti-Bullying Week have all been huge successes. I enjoy my job as a school counselor and I try to make a difference in the lives of Sweetwater students and families each day.
