New to Sweetwater Elementary as an ESOL teacher, I bring to your child a wealth of knowledge to enrich, enhance, and enlighten in order to further his or her education. Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I thoroughly enjoy educating as well as challenging the young minds of our future leaders. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching in both the elementary and higher ed. sector with such a diverse population of students. I am convinced as an educator, it is my duty to ensure that my students are lifelong learners that are engineered for excellence, created to conquer, and sent to succeed in such a rapidly changing world.

ESOL Digital Learning:
In the event we are out of school please allow your child to log onto the LexiaCore5 Reading program for 45 minutes each day that we are out. This will ensure that your child continues to work on his or her language development in the following six areas: phonological awareness, phonics, structural analysis, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. To access this program please click on Digital Learning located on the left hand side of the screen. Next, click on Lexia Language Program and you will then be taken to the login page. Your child have been provided with his or her username as well as the password. On the other hand, the program can also be located inside of your child's classlink portal.
In addition to LexiaCore5, please have your child log on to Nearpod and complete the lessons over the next 14 days. He or she should complete one link per week for 15-20 minutes a day until they have completed the entire lesson. To access these links, please click on the digital learning link located on the left hand side of the screen. Should you have any questions and/or concerns I can always be reached during these days from 9-2. During this time I will be checking students work as well as monitoring their data and usage time, which will aid in planning lessons to further build upon these six areas. Lastly, it is very important that you not assist your child with any of these assignments.
