Sweetwater Elementary School's 21st Century Community Learning Center "Castle Kids" is a part of the 21st Century Community Learning Center's federally funded grant program, which concentrates on early intervention to help our students succeed in their education.

Our program is strategically designed to increase student academic skills, improve self-esteem, and provide exposure to life-skills through hands-on activities.  We currently provide academic tutoring and enrichment for 55 selected students in the second through fifth grades.  This is a free program for qualifying students.  Qualification is dependent upon teacher referral as well as a student assessment to be examined by the directors of the program.

This year, our program will operate Monday through Friday from 2:45pm-5:15pm. All students enrolled will receive a daily supper.  If school is not in session on a particular day or afternoon, this program will not be in operation. In the event that students are learning virtually, the program will operate virtually. Transportation is provided for students living in the Sweetwater attendance district.
